Actually, if a person IS going to be a one-issue candidate, in order to draw attention to that issue, then I can really respect the idea of doing so without actively asking for other people's money to run the campaign.
If you were just a plumber talking about child support, people would listen to you but they may not pay much attention to your viewpoint. As a potential officeholder, you would have clout to try to implement your views, and that causes more attention to be placed on what your views are.
I totally agree with you.
Cheers.
That doesn't say disrespecter it says "Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:" so you changed the words of the bible.
You think you are God?
I do not think I am God but I do try to give interpretations.
In other parts of the Bible it says things like "love thy enemy" per link here = Matthew 5:38-48, so God is not saying that He or we are to dis-respect anyone even if we or He does not give them respect.
Respect and disrespect are not the only options as there is middle ground and other perspectives. As like loving thy enemy whether they deserve respect or not.
That "God is no respecter of persons" is the thing that explains Adolf Hitler rising to power in Germany, because if God denied Hitler based on him being evil then that too would be respecting the person which God does not do. There are negative and positive and neutral sides of respect, and it is not some thing we only give to our friends, see text link above.
